![]() This book is part mystery - there's a dead body, a six year old Abby was murdered in her own house part paranormal - the ghost of Abby appeared in front of Detective Matt Bennett and led him to her body in the basement part romance - Matt Bennett met a renowned medium Kiernan Fitzpatrick who ended up helping Matt to find out more about what had happened with Abby and there was attraction and part thriller - when Matt investigates the case with Kiernan, outside of his role as detective (since he has been put into administrative leave), the murderer starts targeting Kiernan as well. ![]() I got this as ARC from Netgalley and I am already thinking about rereading it in October when I buy it on actual release day. I have nothing to say except I am in love with this book. I tried to find something to complain about, I really did. No sex in the middle of stake out or being chased by murderer. No overflowing sex scenes that don't help the plot to move along. no "baby" as terms of endearment (thank God!). I tried to be nitpicky, picking up my pet peeves too. ![]() ![]() This is what A Reason to Believe meant for me. Sometimes, a book comes at the right mood and the right moment. ![]()
